How do I upload my snaps into my Photo Gallery?
- Login to Batchmates using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
- Click on "My Photos" link on the top panel.
- You can upload your photos inside an album. Click on Create New Album button.
- Provide a title and a description(optional) for the album. Select a cover template for your album and click on the Create Album button.
- As soon as the album is created you can view Upload Photos link against the album name in the photos page. Click on that link.
- You can upload three photos at a time. Browse for the photos from your computer. Provide a caption(optional) and click on Upload button below.
- For personal photos, check the My Photo option at the right.
- You can upload institution photos or facebook photos from here by checking the Institute Photo or Facebook Photo options.
How do I use one of my photos as the album cover?
- Login to Batchmates.com using your Email/Unique ID & Password.
- Click on “My Photos” link in the top panel.
- Click on the album for which you wish to set the cover.
- In the landing page you’ll have an option to “Edit All Photos”. Click on the link.
- All photos in the album are opened in an edit mode. You can select the “Set as album cover” option for the desired photo and click on the Save Changes button below.
How many photos can I upload in each album?
- You can upload a total of 40 photographs in your personal photo gallery. You can create 40 individual albums with 1 photo in each or you can create 1 album with 40 photographs. That means the album and photos combination is up to you with the total number of photos allowed restricted to 40.
How do I comment on someone’s photographs?
- Login to Batchmates using your Email/Unique ID & password.
- Visit the member’s profile. Click on the photogallery tab in the profile page.
- The member may have 1 or more albums. Click on the “View Slide Show” link against any album.
- In the slide show mode, you’ll get textboxes to post comment against each photo.
- Note that you can only comment agaist photos of members in your network. However you can always view or read comments in any member’s photogallery.
How do I edit/delete my photos?
- Login to Batchmates using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
- Click on “My Photos” link on the top panel.
- Click on the album containing the photo. All photos in that album are listed.
- To delete a photo click on the "Delete" link appearing below the photo.
- To edit a photo click on the "Edit" link appearing below the photo, and re-upload your desired photo or change the caption.
How Can I edit/delete multiple photos at a time?
- Login to Batchmates using your Email/Unique Id and password.
- Click on “My Photos” tab on the top panel.
- Click on the album containing the photos you wish to edit/delete.
- In the photo listing page, click on the “Edit All Photos” link.
- You can edit captions for all the photos and click on the “Save Changes” button.
- To delete more than one photo, check the “Delete Photo” boxes against the photos and click on the “Delete Photo” button.
- Please note that, to change the photograph (not the caption), you have to select the Edit option for individual photos.
How do I Upload/Edit my profile photo?
- Whenever you upload a new photo, a checkbox saying “Make this photo visible in my public profile” is displayed . Check this box if you want that photo to be displayed as your profile picture.
- If you wish to replace your profile photo, simply edit the new desired profile photo and check the “Make this photo visible in my public profile” box. The previous profile picture will be replaced with the new one.
I have a big photo, can I crop and upload only the cropped portion?
Yes you can. Batchmates gives you the facility to crop a big photo and upload a smaller and specific portion of the original photo.
- Login to Batchmates using your Email/Unique Id and password.
- Click on “My Photos” tab in the top panel.
- Create a new album if required or click on the “Upload Photos” link against an existing one.
- If you are using Internet Explorer, you can see a crop option just against the browse button. After selecting the photo from your computer , you can click on the crop option. A window will be popped up where you can crop the photo.
- Clicking on Upload button will upload the cropped photograph in your Batchmates photo gallery.
- If you are using a browser other than Internet explorer, you will get the crop option just after clicking on the “Upload” button. You can crop the photo from here and click on save changes to have the cropped photo in your photogallery.
How do I change the display order of my photographs?
- Login to Batchmates using your Email/Unique Id and password.
- Click on “My Photos” tab in the top panel.
- Click on the album name. All photos present in the album are listed.
- Click on the “Arrange Photos” link.
- In the landing page, just drag and drop the photos in the desired positions and click on “Save Changes”.
How do I share my photos with my buddies?
- Login to Batchmates using your Email/Unique Id and password.
- Click on “My Photos” tab in the top panel.
- Your photo albums are listed in the landing page. Each album has an associated option to share with your friends.
- You can share the photos with the ones already in your network, you can even invite others to view your photos in Batchmates
- Click on ‘Share this album’ link against the desired album and select any of the options ‘With friends outside Batchmates’ or ‘With Batchmates buddies’
- When you select to share your photos with friends who are not Batchmates members, you’ll need to key in their email addresses. If you use Gmail or Yahoo, you can even import your address book and send invitation to selected people.
- If you use Outlook/Outlook Express, Orkut, Thunderbird or LinkedIn, you can upload the comma separated address book and send invitation to selected people. Pictorial instructions to create contact files are given in the respective page.
- When you select to share your photos with your friends in Batchmates, a list of all members in your network are displayed. You’ll need to select the desired people and hit the ‘Share Photos’ button.
